Firstly, the build quality is fairly good - the entire piece is robust, and has a sleek finish, with the folding design making it very compact and easy to fit in a bag. Whilst the design is quite clever, there are a couple of quirks; firstly, it can be a challenge placing the stand when there is a lot of weight on it (to ensure that it stays upright). Secondly, the pop-out watch charger sits at an angle, so if you have a strap attached to your smartwatch, it can cause the watch to come off the charger, meaning that, again, you have to try and position it so that it doesn't.
I tested its charging ability with both my phone and smart watch - it doesn't have the fastest of speeds, but, as I generally charge my things overnight, this isn't too much of a concern. I did note that my watch took around 1 hour 30 minutes to get from 25% to full capacity. I also had no issues using it with my preferred high-powered charging bank.
In summary, a good value item.
If you are on the go a lot and have an Apple phone, watch and AirPods like me, you’ll know how much of a pain it can be to charge all 3 at the end of the day. This offers a really convenient solution for when you’re on the go to charge all 3 with just 1 cable to connect to the charger. Style it looks really sleek with its all-black finish and although plastic feels well made.
The charger folds into 3 layers when not in use for ease of carrying, but I have another one that folds into just 2 levels, so there are even more convenient form factors out there if any space you can save is paramount to you. Charging isn’t anything rapid, but easily does all 3 devices of mine in one night and it does with no dropping of devices thanks to the MagSafe compatibility. Price wise it is around what I have found to be expected for a device like this and so at the current RRP I believe it is fair value.
